Here are the steps to activating “Race Mode” for a competition:

1-. Enter user credentials and log in.

The screen will display the pending race in a colored box, as is shown in this image:

2-. Tap the Start race mode button:

The following screen will be displayed:

This screen is divided into two main parts. The SOS is on the left side and visible at all times, to be used in case of an emergency. The rest of the screen is used to display the flags associated all of the statuses and situations that can occur throughout the race, as determined by the FIA code. A green flag with a number that represents the vehicle’s speed (0 when stopped) is displayed as the default.

On the top right-hand corner, there is also a ‘X’ button that can be used to close the app:

Once this screen is displayed, the app is ready to start the race and communicate with race management throughout the competition.

IMPORTANT: The app will only function and allow for communication with race management when it is running in the foreground of the phone. If another app is opened, taking it’s spot in the foreground, race management will no longer be able to see the competitor nor communicate with them via flags or messages.
